Mohammad Ravandi is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at K.N. Toosi University of Technology. He is also a remote visitor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. He received his PhD from National University of Singapore (NUS) in April 2017. He also received his M.Sc. degree (2011) in Mechanical Engineering and his B.Sc. degrees (2009) in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering (Dual Degree) from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. Prior to K.N. Toosi, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. His research focuses on the modeling of composite materials, natural and bio-composites, progressive failure analysis, computational fracture mechanics, stochastic analysis and uncertainty quantification.
