Dr. Soheil Nakhodchi received the B.Sc. degree from Ferdowsi University, and M.Sc. degree from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, in 1999 and 2001 respectively. Later, he won an EPSRC (UK’s Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) scholarship for doing his PhD at Solid Mechanics research group at the University Of Bristol, UK. (Supervised by Prof. David Smith). Dr. Nakhodchi has also been a visiting research fellow at University of Bristol, UK and University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC), USA in 2010 before joining to the MAPNA gas turbine engineering and manufacturing company (TUGA) where he was mainly responsible for the development of techniques for LifeTime Extension (LTE) of components of a land-based gas turbine.
