Ali Ashrafizadeh received his BSc degree in mechanical engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 1986, MSc in thermo-fluid sciences from Tarbiat Modares University in 1990, and PhD in mechanical engineering from University of Waterloo (Canada) in 2000. He joined K. N. Toosi University of Technology (KNTU) in 1990 and has served as the manager of thermo-fluid group, director of the heat transfer lab, director of the university undergraduate office, director of the university graduate office, director of the DOS research lab, and the associate dean of education at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of KNTU. Dr. Ashrafizadeh has also worked in a number of industries and has been a lecturer at the University of Waterloo from 2000 to 2003. His research interests include mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of thermo-fluid analysis and design problems.
