Summary of project:
A fully coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical model for simulating the black-oil type flow in stress sensitive reservoirs was presented. Thermal oil recovery processes involve high pressures and temperatures, leading to large volume changes and induced stresses. To identify these deformation and stresses, we developed a thermal reservoir simulator. The accuracy and efficiency of the model was verified by simulating some experiments and benchmark problems.
